Kelly Cooper

Kelly is a native Dubuquer. She has been with the council since November 2003. She attended the University of Northern Iowa and received her B.A. in Marketing with a minor in Graphic Communications. Kelly has worked in graphic design in Colorado Springs and in marketing at American Express Financial in Minneapolis.

Her primary responsibility is to direct and manage the Labor-Management Council's goal of improving the economic environment of the tri-state area through progressive labor and management leadership. She also coordinates labor-management programs and events throughout the year.

Kelly is also a member of the Dubuque Works Initiative board of directors. She is responsible for changing the perception of the skilled trades in the Dubuque area and educating the youth about career opportunities.

Kelly and her husband Mark, have two children: Katrina and Brady.

Britini Slaght

Britini is a native Dubuquer. She has been with the council since January 2024. She attended the University of Dubuque, where she received her Bachelor of Business Administration in Human Resource Management. Prior to joining the council, Britini worked in operations at Dupaco Community Credit Union.

Her primary responsibility is the Tech WORKS program, where she connects local youth with clear career paths following high school graduation. Her day-to-day duties include organizing career exploration events, connecting students directly with area employers, and actively promoting the workforce throughout the Dubuque area.
