| The Women in Non-traditional Careers (WINC) committee aims to focus on designing and delivering educational programs for women and girls intended to increase their knowledge of career opportunities in trades, technology, operations and manufacturing occupations. A committee of community representatives meets monthly to discuss programming. |

| Women are under-represented in occupations such as the trades, technology, and science fields. The pending workforce shortage will produce a need for more people entering non-traditional occupations. Because women account for 49 percent of the increase in total labor force growth between 2006 and 2016, women need to be encouraged to enter non-traditional occupations. |
